Child of God

Jesus, today we remember that you are not only Creator, but that you want to have a relationship with us as your child! Thank you that your Word promises those who believe in their hearts and receive the free gift of salvation, become a child of God. We pray for this identity to become more and more of a reality in our lives and in those we reach.

Help our relationship with you be an example to others of how good of a daddy you are. We can trust you with every detail of our lives.  You desire to have personal relationships with all of those who have put their faith in you. We pray for believers who have wandered from your or who have yet to discover the goodness of being your child.

Thank you for all the people who have said YES to your calling. Thank you for stirring in their hearts to make a decision follow you. We pray that they would would come to experience what it means to belong to your family, to be a child of God. Help them to claim their rights as children of God, to know the Holy Spirit dwells inside of them.  We ask the Holy Spirit to continue to fill them.  May they escape the lies of the enemy and know their new identity is in you!
 
May we as a church, be bold followers of Jesus. May we claim our inheritance and testify that we are adopted into God’s family.  May we have faith to call you Abba; to call out to you Lord God as our loving daddy.  May we have hearts to trust you when you allow us to journey down difficult paths.  May we pray in faith for you to search our hearts, test out anything in us that offends you and lead us along the path of ever lasting life. Abba, we place our hope and trust in you.  Thank you for making us heirs of God’s Kingdom, royalty in your eyes. We love you!
