These three statistics show just how much influence apps have in our lives. We recognize there are hundreds or thousands of apps available, for just as many different uses. The time we spend on our apps fills our minds with their content. Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:8, “…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Let’s pray for apps that fill our minds with these things.

We pray for discernment on the time that we spend in apps; help us to have conviction when they are distracting us from the mission you have for each of us, and pulling us away from our families, relationships, and responsibilities. We pray that apps like YouVersion’s Bible app would continue to be one of the most highly downloaded apps of all time. Continue to allow it to be available to more languages, and nations. We thank you that Bibles and faith-based resources on mobile apps have been a blessing to the persecuted church. We pray that those who use these tools would have protection from the oppression of their government. We pray for other apps to be available that help us to grow in our faith and walk with Jesus.
