Movies can be a favorite entertainment source. Some people may even say that watching movies is an escape from reality. As believers, it’s important to let this entertainment or escape be one that draws us closer to the Lord, not further away. Letting our minds get wrapped up in storylines of evil can affect our heart in greater ways than we would like to admit. Today, we encourage you to reflect on this area. Are you watching moves that are full of sin? How do these storylines affect your thoughts and maybe even actions after watching them?

Lord, we invite you into our entertainment. We pray that you would touch the film industry in a powerful way. Would you bring messages of sinful living into the light- that darkness would lose it’s grip in our entertainment. We pray against the subliminal messages that are being communicated that are works of the enemy to corrupt and distort our thought patters and convictions. We pray for protection over innocent eyes. Would you supernaturally move to protect our kids and teenagers from viewing content that they cannot carry the weight of.

And again, we pray that believers in this industry would grow in influence and authority. That your Word would begin to have more influence in their decisions, and that ultimately they would be able to point others towards you. Let us see your hope, truth, and goodness shine through the messages of movies. Continue to bless movies that point people back to you.
