We want to be a people of prayer! For the month of May, we want to encourage you to pray for specific areas of media that we all consume regularly. Let's believe that God can use our prayers and intercessions to transform areas outside of control and move hearts toward himself.

Our first area of the media to pray for is the news. We hope this prayer that we have provided will be a launching pad for you to continue to ask God into this area. We also encourage you to combine your prayer time with time in God's Word and reflecting on what He is speaking to you through journaling. Let's dive in.

Father, we pray that those who are speaking, writing, and sharing news would have a conviction for the truth. We ask that you would get ahold of their hearts. We pray that amidst the hardships, terrible events, and discouragement often shared in our news sources that your hope would shine through. God, let their speech lead others towards you. We pray for those who are struggling with discouragement, depression, and anxiety from the continual flood of negative information from our news sources would be able to disconnect and choose to spend time with You, soaking up the truth hope and promises in your Word. We pray that the enemy’s stronghold in this area would be broken by the authority and power of Jesus Christ. Flood our news channels with your hope Father!
